Take Your Time Back!

Community: TakeYourTimeBack@lemmy.world

This is a draft you can help to improve

Use a logoless, minimal launcher (it's not important which app-just a dumb, plain launcher).

Track your screen time.

Turn off notifications and use Do Not Disturb mode.

Do not install any online applications except your browser (you can still do most things in a browser).

Use a time-tracker add-on in your browser.

When using a browser, have a maximum of three tabs.

Do not multitask; do only one thing at a time.

Do not use earbuds when walking or waiting for something.

Experience activities without your phone.

Some examples:

  • Reading books
  • Doing exercise
  • Chatting with someone (face-to-face)
  • Eating/cooking without your phone

Take Your Time Back

In the attention economy, your time is your most valuable curency - and you are being robbed of it in broad daylight...

or, should I say, screenlight.

It's not your fault... but it IS within your power to do something about it.

Take your time back.

Take your attention back.

Take your life back.

And then go to TakeOurTimeBack to help others do the same at scale.
