Republicans simply ignore subpoenas and Congress just shrugs. Trump will never testify. He and his cohorts will never face charges.

And that should enrage us all.

Stop warning. Start feeding info and weapons to your constituents

For sake of all that is holy, stop defending Bill Clinton. The Clintons are as putrid as Dick Cheney's corpse. Throw them out with Trump.

I swear, the democrats were handed the juciest scandal in US presidential history on a silver platter and all they are going to do is squeeze as much small donor money out of it as possible.

[-] 5oap10116@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Dems/libs dgaf about the Clinton's.

[-] sudo@programming.dev 4 points 1 month ago

The voters stopped caring long ago but the party is still very tied to the Clintons.

Then why is Hilary still doing dinners?

[-] AlexLost@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Why is a politician still politicking? Hmm, that's a tough one to answer there...

[-] Soulg@ani.social 2 points 1 month ago

Who is defending them lmao

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 month ago

Yeah...Lemmy really needs to see the problem is about Washington power, not just Trump. Trump is a symptom, not the disease.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha what a joke. Y'all are gonna end up in front of a firing squad before that even happens to the fascist in chief.

Life pro-tip: don't warn, just do it. This has been a public service announcement.

[-] ProfThadBach@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

forced to testify

By whom? They had four years to force him. They didn't.

[-] Brummbaer@pawb.social 9 points 1 month ago

I'm pretty sure the Democrats will find a way to prevent this.

[-] Wataba@sh.itjust.works -1 points 1 month ago

Non-voters made it easy. Glass houses, dumbass.

[-] Luminous5481@anarchist.nexus 1 points 1 month ago

Democrats wouldn’t do shit if they controlled both houses of Congress and the presidency, dumbass. Don’t blame voters for the party being cowardly lickspittles who actively support a pedophile, dumbass. And stop calling people a dumbass just because their post hurt your fweelings, dumbass.

Dumbass.

Their imaginary nation where they all think they live with working checks and balances.

[-] 5oap10116@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Don't think the GOP intends to lose power by any means necessary

[-] sleepmode@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

If you want to wrestle a pig, you have to get in the mud. This is why no one takes them seriously.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago

Democrats don't even have to get in the mud. They just have to play Hard Ball. We have a Constitution, a Bill of Rights, and a thick book of laws, and we ignore MOST of them, except for the ones that exploit workers.

It's time to make ALL politicians follow the LETTER OF THE LAW. Every law. Trump and MAGA have violated countless laws, with absolute impunity. Instead of weasel words from the MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries offering their latest scolding to make MAGA laugh, we should be arresting and prosecuting them. Trump might have some level of immunity, but literally NONE of the rest of them benefit by it one bit.

Throw them in jail with no bail, and prosecute them. Even if Trump pardons them, they have ended up on jail for a few days, and trust me, you don't want to spend a single day in jail. Let them cry in lockup for a while.

Melania's got a lot to answer for. She knew Epstein before she knew Trump. Let's get the whole story, under oath.

Maybe Merrick Garland is still around. Re-hire him, and he'll get right on it.

In a few years.
