Bit Of Tangential Trivia: Gambit, the member of the X-Men speaking here, is Cajun if memory serves.

Before the US Civil War, Sherman actually taught at a military school in Louisiana. When Louisiana joined the secesh, he wept in front of his cadets, and all he could manage to say to them before leaving to join the Union war effort was to tell them "You are all here." and pointed at his heart.

The secesh started a war that tore hearts apart, for their 'right' to continue brutalizing their fellow man.
