I imagine the stories written for this anthology featured only existing characters. So that would tell me these stories came about before SFA premiered.
For the first poster, why is nurse Chapel on it?
It hasn't come up much, but from "Spock Amok" back in season 1:

ORTEGAS: That's more like a book than a page. And you said the same thing about that gal on Argelius II.
CHAPEL: That was a misunderstanding. It was one time.
For a previous issue it was explained that she is aromantic. I personally haven’t read the first anthology from 2024, but this is what others had said.
