Never tried on all the devices. And even if you read some nice tutorial you may face some issues because of OEM locks (on recovery or bootloaders).

Have you tried installing any custom ROM on a Samsung a40? I had to get one because it was cheap, and a cursory look said it could be rooted, but when I actually tried to access the bootloader and unlock it, I was having issues.

Samsung ๐Ÿ˜ญ In old days it was easy to flash ROM on old Galaxy. But now I find things more complicated and some devices are not supported. Maybe you should have a look on XDA website or LineageOS website for support.

Very different operating systems but, idk, something about the name.
