Doesn't this just prove that they are in cahoots with the fascists? Nobody wants her, yet they're gonna try to shove her down our throats again when we need a real candidate who actually has a chance of winning.

[-] mattyroses@lemmy.today 19 points 4 weeks ago

no, obviously it's the fault of the left for not supporting her. The Party cannot fail, it can only be failed.

[-] Soulg@ani.social 1 points 4 weeks ago

I mean, not yet, she can run in the primary

[-] ToTheGraveMyLove@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 weeks ago

Yeah, but why?

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 25 points 4 weeks ago

She'll never survive a primary.

[-] jontree255@lemmy.world 32 points 4 weeks ago

Acting like the DNC will have a fair primary. They’re going to shove Harris, Newsome, or some other center-right Dem down our throat.

[-] Maeve@kbin.earth 11 points 4 weeks ago

They're not center right anymore. We have far right and farther right.

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 9 points 4 weeks ago

theyll lose the election if so

[-] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 15 points 4 weeks ago

Since when has that been a concern for them???

[-] crusa187@lemmy.ml 7 points 4 weeks ago

All according to plan.

[-] jontree255@lemmy.world 5 points 4 weeks ago

Yeah most likely. They can’t just be “not Trump” because he’s hopefully going to be dead. Also, that hasn’t really translated to success. Trump only lost 2020 because of COVID.

[-] Quexotic@infosec.pub 8 points 4 weeks ago

I don't know if they "Bernie" her opponent then she might.

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 4 points 4 weeks ago

I mean they can try. They pulled out every stop in NYC and couldn't stop a people powered campaign.

Whoever the progressive is going to be needs to announce, and soon. Mamdani started the day after the 24 election. I truly believe that if the DnC primary in 2016 had been a month longer, wes have had Bernie. Grass roots campaigns take longer.

[-] Quexotic@infosec.pub 2 points 4 weeks ago

I dunno. They're pretty disorganized but their donors are less so. I think they're going to lose it for us again, or if they win, will prevent any leftwards movement.

I wonder how bad this has to get before real change happens.

[-] whereIsTamara@lemmy.org 1 points 4 weeks ago

There won’t be a primary

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 21 points 4 weeks ago

This is just proof there is one party centered on corruption. I'm amazed they didn't try Hilary Clinton again.

[-] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 weeks ago

It's her turn!!!!!!!

[-] IronBird@lemmy.world 2 points 4 weeks ago

they will, Hillary vs. Alex Jones jones wins

[-] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 2 points 4 weeks ago

Yeah but the emails guys…

(Bill sitting behind the curtain “oof, glad that’s keepin em busy, it’s still keepin em busy right?”)

[-] recklessengagement@lemmy.world 11 points 4 weeks ago

because that went so well last time...

[-] crusa187@lemmy.ml 8 points 4 weeks ago

Let’s have a primary this time Kamala, see if a corporate shill like you can make it above 3%. I’m guessing no.

[-] mattyroses@lemmy.today 1 points 4 weeks ago

why start now?

[-] AshMan85@lemmy.world 8 points 4 weeks ago
