Ric just outqualified Perez at his home track, with an AT. What a statement. Let's see if he can put a result on the board tomorrow.

Longneck at 20 to 8 in the morning

[-] dimspace@lemmy.world 23 points 2 years ago

Its really hard to even get excited about the prospect of a Ferrari front row, because you just know they will somehow contrive to get in each others way, let Max through on lap one, and then make a pigs ear of their strategy and finish 5th and 6th

I have no idea what you're talking about, leclerc was ecstatic about the pole.

I really hope for Charles mental state that they don't fuck it up tomorrow, but he seemed determined to come with a plan.

[-] dimspace@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

i was not talking about Charles feelings, I was talking as F1 fans feeling....

[-] hillbicks@feddit.de 1 points 2 years ago

I forgot the /s

Leclerc seemed like he couldn't care less about pole yesterday ;p

[-] JJROKCZ@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

Yea theyโ€™ll find some way to fuck it up and have neither driver on the podium. Either the drivers or the team will screw this

Oof bad gamble for Norris.

Also, I don't think drivers should be able to hold up the pit lane like that.

[-] Photographer@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Penalties incoming

[-] FrostyTrichs@lemmy.world 14 points 2 years ago

Holy shit, almost the entire grid is under investigation for something.

[-] Photographer@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Penalties will make a real mess of this

[-] FrostyTrichs@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

As is tradition.

[-] dimspace@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

interesting that Red bull decided to go out really early, get a banker without worrying about infractions

[-] FrostyTrichs@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

Verstappen is part of the group under investigation for impeding.

[-] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

Stewards working overtime tonight.

[-] Photographer@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Nah, they'll just penalise everyone, or no one. Then they can go home on time. Whatever they do, I can guarantee people will be unhappy.

[-] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Looks like no one got a penalty ๐Ÿ˜…

No further action against Verstappen, Russell or Alonso for the pit lane impeding.

Also no further action against Hamilton over the yellow flags.

No news yet about Sargeant.

[-] JJROKCZ@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

10 place penalty for Sargent for comes of being a rookie and American so fuck em lol

[-] FrostyTrichs@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

I'd like to see both McLarens in the top 5 and both Alpha Tauri in Q3.

I think we'll see a few interesting knock outs and probably a couple guys we don't get to see in Q3 often. Valtteri, Alex, and Daniel all looked like they were on it over one lap.

[-] evanuggetpi@lemmy.nz 5 points 2 years ago

I bet Mercedes are rueing putting their drivers out on used softs for the first run of Q3. That's when the best laps were set.
