I've made my position pretty clear how this was the wrong move by our government...

Roblox is not age-restricted?

Mmm. They apparently appeased our government by enabling "kid" mode, where it disables chat (or something like that).

Is 4chan still part of the non age-restricted category? ๐Ÿ™ƒ๏ธ

It would be good to get a summary of you perspective on why it's wrong.

Identity verification in its current form(s) is completely outsourced to basically any company that says they are compliant and would do verification.

Forcing young kids and then teenagers to use facial recognition systems as part of everyday life also rubs me the wrong way. Especially when any company in any jurisdiction could be saving them.

And I spent all of 2 minutes looking for those.

At the end of the day they unfortunately did the same thing that upper management will do. Find a technical solution, to an human problem. Not everything needs to be solved with technology.

You can use Freetube with Tor, and it might help with that.

Discord is the primary platform for right wing terrorism and pedophilia indoctrination

Which is interesting, because I would assume Discord regularly works with law enforcement. Especially when half of the articles I read on hackers show "blahblah on discord" etc.

Regularly working with law enforcement usually just means they respond to court orders and basically all companies do that.

Some of the most prolific right wing terrorism groups start and rely on discord because the platform has tools for granular social and group manipulation.

They almost always start in gaming communities too
