47M still playing video games. Can confirm that most people my age think they're a waste of time. Particularly when dating, I find women look a little nonplussed and say that their son plays games, like I should feel slightly ashamed!

OTOH, my sons both still play and all their friends think I'm super cool for playing games with them and talking about games, because their parents just try to ignore their main hobby 😂

My wife is a little this way. Doesn't draw her in. My son and I are bonding over his first playthrough of Zelda: A Link to the Past. He is way into it and I get to come in and beat the hard parts so he thinks I'm awesome. My wife is fine with it because it's good father/son bonding time. I expect him to start schooling me any day now.
