Q for the collective: You have $50 and need to make it go as far as possible food-wise. No restrictions on supermarket or visits to multiple. What do you buy?

(Just thought about this as I spent around $50 at Woolies.)

walk to closest fresh market for fruit and veg, eggs, rice, instant porridge, bread, butter, onions, carrots, capsicums, oranges, end of day roast chicken from supermarket

A bit depends on whether you have cooking facilities and a fridge. And time to cook. Can we make those assumptions????

Yes. You have a place to cook and have a fridge/pantry etc.

Onto the second season of Rake and it just somehow gets better, Cleave's rant about right wing vs left wing women and sex was a classic. I'll be sad when it goes a bit silly as I've heard it does. Somehow Harry-Sorry-David looks like an adolescent, incompetent version of Dan Andrews

E: and Cal McGregor is like premium (not discount) Barnaby Joyce (who is already discounted)

E2: also Barney and Cleave are absolutely my OTP

I don’t see the Aussies winning tonight’s cricket match against South Africa.

They’re already at 222-3 at 38.4 overs. Our batting has been atrocious lately.

Nope. They are too good for us.
