forgive my ignorance but I always thought calyxOS was lineageOS + microG, are there things in there I missed?
Calyx has been inactive since a few months. This is unrelated to google afaik. A good way to search for a custom ROM is go through the XDAforums forum of your device. Most custom ROMs are posted there.
The images are back up I believe.
The project is reorganizing and changing security keys due to the head and lead Dev leaving. They plan to publish new images in the coming months AFAIK. A reinstall will be needed at that point.
This isn't related to the Google stuff.
