My feedback: pick a different name, I thought this was void linux related.
Or at least call it "void notes".
But really don't, because a void is where things are lost.
There's already another app called void notes
Absolutely this. Clicked on it because I thought it was Void Linux, lost interest immediately because it was confusingly not that.
I’ll think about it
BrainVOID
I don't mean to be negative, but the name is generic and second brain as a term is not really descriptive at all. In fact I hope that second brain as a term never really catches on. Why that name though?
I chose the name VOID because it’s short, memorable, and also works as an acronym — Versatile Open-source Infrastructure for Documentation. Beyond that, I like the idea of a “void” as an empty space you can fill with your own structure, knowledge, and workflow — kind of like a blank canvas. Also I took a bit of inspiration in lovecraft’s books
As far as reasoning goes, ten points. It doesn't help with the fact that it's still pretty generic and frequent word/name both alone and as a part of a compositum (see: https://corpora.uni-leipzig.de/en/res?corpusId=eng_news_2024&word=void ) though.
Awesome project!!
Please add your app to https://alternativeto.net/ and Zettelkasten as a feature in future
Also, these is an open source AI coding app called Void too just so you know
I would consider changing the name. I, like others, thought you were referring to and representing the Void Linux distro.
