How we liking the new jam?

I'm on listen #2. I really like it so far. Easily their best since P2. The Blue Nowhere is seriously one of the best songs they've ever written. God Terror, Door #3, Slow Paranoia are amazing as well.

I've listened twice and I think this is probably gonna be my AoTY, but at the same time it's so musically dense and all over the place that I need at least 10 more listens to make head or tail out of it!

That is the BTBAM way. First 5 listens are never sufficient. It took me almost 2 months to hear everything in Colors when that came out. I swear Psychomanteum is a different song every time I listen to it.

I’m trepidations, eager, and scared. P2 is incredible, CE is fantastic, but Colors/2 & Automata I just don’t care for.

I didn't click with 1 or 2 songs on Automata and Colors 2, but otherwise they still feel on par with their Color-P2 era (2007-2012), vocals being less extreme though (but since you like CE I don't think it's an issue).

What's your grievance with the last 2 albums ?
