- Companies selling lawn seeds switched from mixed meadow seeds to pure grass.
- Grass is highly resistant to 2,4-D and all but immune to 2,4,5-T.
- Agent Orange was a 50/50 mixture of these two chemicals.
- The mission to defoliate 20% of the jungle in South Viet Nam: "Operation Ranch Hand"
- The soil and water of southern Viet Nam and Cambodia remain contaminated to this day.
