It's even harder to ignore people who are talking to you, or are just talking loudly in general.
I think just like the reading it's very different per person. I'm great at zoning out and not listening to people. Intentionally or not.

I have seen plenty of signs and things I didn't actually read. That's how I end up missing exits on the freeway. 🤷♂️

Yeah if I try to read without focusing I mix up words often, I should probably get tested for dyslexia lol
Don't do this while driving, but if you are a passenger in a car, focus on the traffic, the car in front of you, but NOT the license plate. You generally can't read it. You get a sense that there's a 'G' in there, but can't figure it out until you focus on the plate. The brain is funny that way.
