There are a whole bunch of options to mark posts as read, but as of yet, I can't seem to find an option to actually hide to posts.

Am I missing something, or does marking a post just grey it out?

Go to Settings - Account preferences and uncheck Show read posts

Ahhh, i think i scrolled past that twice, looking for "hide" or something turn on. Didn't even occur to me that it was something to turn off.

It's because in Lemmy for Reddit it was somewhere in the Post settings, I think.
