Nice tape drive

Every person that is truly good with computers that I have ever met has had a build like this at least once in their life.
Ooh I once had a dell office unit with a 1060 running of a separate PSU.
How did you manage the different power switches? I was considering this before finding a hp cable adapter.

Power supplies. I think auto correct got me there.
I used the default one for CPU and that and had the other one with a 6pin for the GPU and a short on one of the pins for the 24pin to make it turn on.
Whoa, you manually shorted the second PSU. Here I was considering binding the signal and ground with jumpers.
Nah the secondary gpu had a power switch at the back and a single short on the 24pin. That's it.
Did you power on the video card first? Any hardware failures? I'm genuinely interested as someone with more power supplies than sense.
I think I did power the GPU first. I had no failures that I can rmemeber.
I had my PC totally open, with a classic standing room fan taped to it during a summer.
What was broke?

This is what computers were meant to look like
Now you can channel a few more watts into the CPU/GPU since you've removed the need for fans draining the power.
You only need two tools.
If it moves and it shouldn't: Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move, but it should: Hammer.
