Sorry I've not been very active here lately, here's a fairy I painted to make up for it.

If you plan to do more, you should look at Army Painter Speedpaints. They are kind of multi-tonal and let you do a single coat but give you much richer and varying colours than a typical solid colour paint. Just be sure to do a good base coat if the model is made from a porous material.
