Creating sublemmies hangs forever it seems. I was able to create one on day one of the reckoning, but not anymore.

Also, I thought Lemmy was broken but for whatever reason it performs badly in Firefox but Chrome works okay. I don't like this because I hate Chrome/Google but it isn't clear what the issue is in Firefox. I have NoScript, Ublock, etc. there so likely plugins

Other than the random communist extremists, I like it, but I hope this place doesnt turn into the next Voat as I have a strong feeling it will.

I'm already worried about defederations happening and mods of federations getting too big headed on blocking communities.

It's still very new but I think it's a great framework to build on. I do worry about fragmentation (each instance having its own gaming community for example). And the smaller niche subreddits I followed will be hard to replace / replicate here.

I am amazed how fast this platform has grown in a few days. Quite exciting!

Seems solid, I was really excited for Mastodon and loved the idea but.......I didn't really use Twitter much so I didn't have a need for it still.

Reddit has always been my go to social media so I'm glad a fedi version of it exists with lemmy!

I'm strongly, strongly tempted to go on an angry rant about the unusability of the front page jumping around constantly. I'm thinking of donating in order to help out, because I love the idea of a federated forum/news aggregator. Is this a new bug, or something?

I'm quite lost, and don't think I fully understand the distributed nature of the various Lemmy instances (if I'm even using those words properly).

I'll do it like Reddit 10 years ago... wander in, poke around, make a snarky comment or 4 and see where it goes.

it shows promise, but the federation leads to much confusion. In order to truly replace the likes of reddit and such, it needs to be more cohesive.

I wish the layout was more responsive. When I look at it on desktop it still looks formatted for a phone.

It's more clunky but not unbearably so. Once Jerboa gets more features it'll be a lot better. I miss swiping back, having to use the back button sucks.

Its a better experience than reddit so far, the communities are small, most people are respectful and its not just the same shit in recycling.
