One silver lining with the whole tariffs bs is that the American automotive industry is one of the biggest government lobbyists. That's why the majority of drunk drivers only get charged with Manslaughter instead of murder. Also why our city infrastructure remains carbrained.
Our cities are also way to sprawled out. We need to densify Alberta's cities so not needing a car is more logistical.
