Do I really even want to know what LinkedIn games are?

[-] Akagigahara@lemmy.world 38 points 10 months ago

They are just Browser minigames. Nothing too Fancy, out there. Just pretentious, as is the norm for linkedin

Of course, she's a consultant.

[-] bobo1900@startrek.website 41 points 10 months ago

Not only a regular consultant, but a "solutions-based" one. As opposed to another kind of consultant?

[-] fckreddit@lemmy.ml 17 points 10 months ago

So a "problems-oriented" consultant?

[-] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 18 points 10 months ago

It's more successful than "invoice-based".

Every consultant is "invoice-oriented". Some are more than just invoice-oriented.

[-] bobo1900@startrek.website 5 points 10 months ago

"Invent problems by your own so you can sell a solution"

[-] EnsignWashout@startrek.website 3 points 10 months ago

I'm a problems-oriented consultant. Whatever your problem is, I can help you split it into two barely smaller problems.

[-] lostoncalantha@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

What I really need to know though is does she leverage her experience and talents to find me the best solutions

[-] Darkenfolk@sh.itjust.works 2 points 9 months ago

Hey, sometimes I just want you to listen to me talking about this huge fucking dumpster fire I got going on.

Can we just take a moment looking at the artistic chaos of it all, without all your pesky "solutions"?

[-] JoeKrogan@lemmy.world 25 points 10 months ago

Imagine wasting your time on linkedin games

[-] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 10 points 10 months ago

Isn't Linkedin games an oxymoron?

[-] RoquetteQueen@sh.itjust.works 10 points 10 months ago

I think I'd die if I still worked a corporate job.

[-] Mediocre_chad@piefed.social 9 points 10 months ago

"Survival of the fittest" really does require the most mental and emotional gymnastics to maintain the "wish I were" "wanna be" "matter more" paradigm.

[-] airbussy@lemmy.one 8 points 10 months ago

I wonder who would be in need of a "Notion Consultant"

[-] Flax_vert@feddit.uk 8 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

This isn't too bad. Just tips on how to use a product more effectively? Just a bit cringe that people are playing "LinkedIn Games"

[-] bumblefumble@mander.xyz 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

To be honest I'm playing LinkedIn games - I like when number go up. My issue is coming with some made up overanalysis to how it defines you as a worker, wrote up in some extremely annoying, verbose post. I guess I just hate how so many people on LinkedIn write long posts with basically no substance because they need to be seen by the algorithm.

But no, compared to straight up deranged people this isn't so bad. More a hate the game, not the player type situation.

[-] fluckx@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

Linkedin has games?

[-] QuizzaciousOtter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 9 months ago

Does posting this kind of nonsense actually work? Are there people who read this? Does this land them better jobs, clients? I can't comprehend engaging in braindead bullshit like this...

[-] bumblefumble@mander.xyz 4 points 9 months ago

Official linked in game account commented, so yes, it gives you reach in the algorithm.

[-] Almacca@aussie.zone 6 points 10 months ago

I like to look up the companies in their tag lines. Notion - "The AI workspace that works for for you"

I've got the notion that she's just another AI dickhead. Sry, 'expert'.

Yeah I totally get it, my brain moves like a Queen. (In eight directions)

The only way to win this shit is to not play

[-] Angelusz@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

I don't really see what is so unhinged about this..?
