Hi, I wanted to know if any of you have info regarding some specifics of Air VPN.

On Reddit some time ago I found this google spreadsheet with a list of basically all the VPN services and a rating by color: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1L72gHJ5bTq0Djljz0P-NCAaURrXwsR1MsLpVmAt3bwg/edit

I started then to filter-out all the red one but I was wondering for AirVPN (which looks good on almost everything on paper) what's wrong with their "ethics". If you go into the specification of the "Ethic" tab ther's nothing much explained and I can't find anything online regarding this.

On some website it has quite low ratings as well but they do not explain very much why.

Thanks

Have a look at Techlore's VPN comparison matrix, they do a decent making it easy to understand and compare various VPN's

Hears to hoping i2p torrenting with qbittorrent 4.6.x replaces our need for port forwarding vpns

Sorry can you elaborate?

Seconding the question, there's some qbittorrent i2p thing going on? Tell me more

Previously though they had some pretty irresponsible marketing.

Likely they haven't undergone any audits and they certainly aren't the worst out there. AzireVPN is another one that I am keeping an eye on.

I'm using both Mullvad and AirVPN. I use Mullvad for my network connection so all outgoing traffic is over Mullvad, who I trust. AirVPN on the other hand, I use for only port forwarding for personal services and hosted game servers. I haven't actually had any trouble or concerns with airvpn yet, but I also very cautious and skeptical with everything I use. That being said, I have zero Internet slowdowns with either service, but I also use the Wireguard protocol.

I've been using them after recent issue with mullvad. My observations are that they haven't been tested on their no logging policy, the website is rough around the edges and the forums aren't really great. They have banned people for asking pointed questions or given non-answers.

That being said I have been using their services without their app and everything has been working beautifully.
