Would be cool, although improbable, if they could upscale the graphics using vectors. I believe the game was made using those, so it would be cool to see.

Actually idk how the animations work in this game, but temporal stability of the vectors would probably be a huge problem. Everything would jiggle as points move from one pixel to the next which would be a big jump.

That probably would be possible, but it might not look good. The biggest issue would be single-pixel details, they'd just end up as large squares and maybe look out of place when everything else is high res and smooth. You would get similar issues with any shape that has few pixels, your results might be overly smooth or boxy.
