Appropriate technology in action. And as a bonus, textile insulation could use material from all those fast fashion clothes dumped in the desert or otherwise abandoned to dissolve into microplastics :/

Fun fact, adding textiles to walls for insulation is where we get the term "furring" from.

I wish awnings were more common. Such a simple way to block out midday or afternoon sun in the hot summer.

That's where I got the idea from! Excellent channel.

Awnings are amazing and you can actually adjust them seasonally - extend them fully in summer to block heat, then retract them in winter to let that free solar heat in through your windows (just installed some last year and my cooling costs droped significantly).

While the billionaires have AC on private jets, we have those shitty euro bakery curtains. Great.

You are free to have AC as well, if you think that's a sensible solution. No need to be a billionaire.

Taking away a billionaire's private jet, as cool as that would be, won't cut your electric bill. Shitty Euro bakery curtains will ๐Ÿ˜†
