Another war crime. We need new Nuremberg trials.
"Zionist regime"
The difference in reporting is staggering. Really shows how people are conditioned to believe certain things based on the media they consume.
You'd never hear a Western news organization use the term "Zionist regime."
We have the "Hamas health ministry" instead.
To be fair, Axios didn't rag on Iran here. They didn't do any kind of labeling, just stating what happened: Israel bombed a live Iranian news station.
That's what news is supposed to be. The opinion columns are where terms like 'Zionist regime' goes. Same with whatever you'd want to call Iran's govt, but news is just the event as it comes, maybe with context.
Bombing a live news station, and clarifying that there was no warning, speaks for itself. More context of Israel's many other crimes would be better, but Axios has a very-brief writing style.
Jesus christ.
For those curious, there is no gore in this video.
Still disturbing.
She got back on air 10 minutes later.
With that amount of finger waggling, it feels like she's lecturing me about the dangers of masturbation 😳
Yes, we get it! Its up! In America we just use that expression as a greeting.
What's up?
Women points up with her finger...
Wow! Up is that way in America too!
I wonder if her ability to waggle her finger helped to get hired or if that even was a condition for hiring her?
Also gotta give credit to her how she doesn't seem to panic at all and just goes "fuck this, I'm out of here" when the building gets struck.
All the best to the people who didn't want this, regardless of nationality and faith.
She didn't sound happy even before the explosion.
This is not the full video. In the full video, she's reporting on some random stuff when there are some explosions in the background (2-3), so she starts talking like this until the big one hits.
PS: it's downthread in @industrystandard
Well, I thought I’d feel nothing if perhaps a little shock, but seeing her flee for her life as she was self-righteously wagging the finger, something that she probably does often in defense of the Ayatollah, was kinda satisfying. Let’s not forget who these people are who uphold this tyrannical theocracy, TV propagandists included. I do not condone what Israel is doing, but just for one moment this felt good.
Least racist lmmy.flatworld user
Wow, you really should be disgusted with yourself right now. Go take a shower, Jesus Christ.
You were satisfied seeing someone "flee for her life" because you interpreted her foreign language and hand gestures as "she was self-righteously wagging the finger", and that was enough to make a journalist fleeing for her life because a fascist genocidal state bombed her TV station "felt good".
🤮🤮🤮
There were subtitles for fuck sake 🙄 I didn’t have to interpret anything. Also, Iranian state TV. There is very little that is ambiguous about the video or what the lady in question represents. Also, I seriously doubt she’s a “journalist” as we like to imagine them, doing investigative work, field work, serving the people, and uncovering the truth. Probably just a mouthpiece for the theocracy on state tv.
She is about as much a journalist as Karoline Leavitt in the US.
You have an amazing skill for rationalizing violence.
I hope it's your family next.
You just did the exact thing you accused them of dude
You criticize them for rationalizing violence and then immediately wish it upon their family.
That's very hypocritical.
Jesus Christ you guys with the personal attacks 😳
Calling her journalist is a stretch. She is the token woman mouth piece of the Ayatollah regime. When the Zan zendegi azadi protests were going on, she called for the protestors to be shot.
She is objectively an evil person who is now sitting in the bed she helped make.
Israel is bad and this unprovoked attack is a move by Netanyahu and Trump to distract from their domestic problems. But in the giant pile of shit that this situation is, that bitch getting scared is one of the few nuggets of pure karma.
I hope Khamenei dies too btw. Is that a problem too?
If it has to be shouted at you, its not news, its propaganda. But she was brave in a tight spot, for sure.
Remember 60 years ago when half the population of Persians could show their ears without inciting the other half to violence?
Yes I do. When an oligarchy was destroying Iran and starving its people.
Amazing how the western discourse around freedom is reduced to some silly fun facts about women.
Now do Orthodox Jewish women next. Let's see.
Idk man, seems like it's kinda more destroyed now, tbh.
Also, I don't know about that being a western opinion per se. I chatted with a ~50y old Persian guy some 15 years ago, and he was saying much the same as the guy you replied to.
That's why he left as I understood it. Well 'twasn' t the only reason, but still.
You mean when the US and UK installed Shah disappeared, tortured and murdered tens of thousands of people with the aid of US and Israeli intelligence and weapons?
The manufacturing of consent for regime change seems to be working
Wow I guess we should kill all of them right?
