I fly the Mi'kmaq flag when I'm feeling particularly proud of my nation.
Gotta say, that one's a wonderfully designed flag.
Seems like that's how it started down here with your southern neighbors. Be careful of the creep from normal level patriotism to nationalism to .
Good point! I’m willing to change it up. (Heck) I would’ve flown the US flag on July 4 if things were different ;) I’ll just go ahead and fly my sports teams flags (but only in the playoffs) ✌🏻
We're all doing this in California too. Go CA! /s :)
Wonderful! I got my little flag from attending Canada Day event in my little town last year. Put it up on my front window on Flag Day and it will stay there until I need to replace it. I have been eyeing the flags (supposedly made in Canada) being sold in Canadian Tires. Most likely will purchase that when I need to replace my little flag.
At first, I was quite angry at dumb anti-vax convoy for flying the Canadian flag and resisted putting up the flag. But then I thought, "I am proud to be Canadian damnit! Why should I let some idiots, anti-science Maple maga hijacked my feeling towards my country's flag?" So I decided to put it up on National Flag Day of Canada (Feb 15).
Elbows up! 💪🏼
I get doing that on national holidays and such special occasions, but otherwise I find it kind of too much.
Does the size of everything match the technical description? https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/services/flag-canada-description.html
I’ll be sure to have Audit & Compliance confirm 😏
Nice!
Where was the flag manufactured? Mine was from Pakistan. Congrats!
Lee Valley is selling a Canadian made flag. I think I'll pick one up for Canada Day. My current flag is fading a bit.
Next time, just buy from a Canadian flag maker. There are quite a few.
Don't beat yourself up. Flags are "consumeable" and need to be replaced pretty often as they fade and fray.
A year ago you'd probably get heckled for posting that. Rightfully, but probably for the wrong reasons. And since then the fashion has shifted again and people don't so much mind looking like colonialist apologists for exploitation.
