Hi!

I’d like to know your favorite sushi spots in Portland (doesn’t matter which neighborhood). I think my favorite so far is Zilla. I’m curious about Nimblefish, but I’ve read several complaints that the portions are tiny and not worth the cost. I also like Yama and Mirakutei. I’ve been to Bamboo and while it’s tasty, I’m not impressed.

Thank you!

Ohana on Broadway is super cheap. Like a few kinds of veggie rolls for $2.35 cheap. In case you need your fix on a budget. That's enough to make it my favorite.

I don’t know this one—thank you! I’ll add to my list. :)

My go to (not fancy) is the Momiji on Barbur. They have a very small seating area and I usually get it to go.

Thank you! I’ll check them out!

I saw on their website that they have a $33 all you can eat option! That’s a good price for sushi! So many things are expensive these days so this makes me excited! Thank you again!

Yeah, I've been meaning to try that, now that's it's not too cold to eat outside, I might also give it a try

Agreed; Momiji tends to be pretty solid in my experience. I've eaten at a couple of them and their price/quality is a great balance for my taste. The one on Fremont is good, too. I haven't been to the Barbur one.

Yama Sushi on Clinton has quickly risen to the top of our ranks. I'm no sushi connoisseur by any means, but I've found it to be a combination of great quality, accessible, pleasant ambiance, decent prices, and maybe even a bit excessive selection-wise. Seriously. They come out and hit you with like five different menus right off the bat.

I don't have any problems with Bamboo, but like many places in Portland, it falls into a category of "good, but overrated".

Totally agreed on Yama. I don’t care for most of the rolls and the options are almost overwhelming on that front, but the fish is good quality, service is good, and, like you said, prices are decent.

Thank you for your input!
