That’s why a lot of people are suspicious that the quote is out of context or out of order. And it looks like the full quote explains that he likes LA bc he can be close to home and compete for a championship

This seems like one of those out of context/order quotes. I can imagine he said, “I like LA because it’s close to home, and I get to compete for championships.” No story here.

Both the Lemmy title and the tweet downplays the second bit. (About playing at home).
When you say it in the other order you can imply throwing shade at Miami.
I like this signing by the lakers. I’m sure he will make a splash this regular season.
