    i agree with going after sports betting, it's a scourge on society.

    semi-unrelated but i think we should also go back to making event ticket scapling illegal.

    No no. I think scalping should be legal. But you can only sell physical tickets as a 3rd party on the site of the venue on event day.

    That makes it way too risky to do it as a business, but if you as an individual need to offload an extra ticket for someone who couldn't make it, you can.

    you can offload without scalping, you just have to re-sell at face value. as a consumer i want the ability to sell/buy face value tickets without having to physically go to the venue on that day.

    No that's bullshit, because I couldn't go once and was out $600 on tickets. Just let me sell that shit. We did it in the 90s and things were less fucked. Scalpers don't get all the good shit. Corps do.

    I literally said scalping should be legal for individuals, but not feasible for businesses.

    And you replied with "No, you should let people scalp, but not businesses."

    Which was the whole point of what I said.
