No no. I think scalping should be legal. But you can only sell physical tickets as a 3rd party on the site of the venue on event day.

That makes it way too risky to do it as a business, but if you as an individual need to offload an extra ticket for someone who couldn't make it, you can.

you can offload without scalping, you just have to re-sell at face value. as a consumer i want the ability to sell/buy face value tickets without having to physically go to the venue on that day.

You just described scalping.....except with a fixed pricepoint.

Scalping just is slang for reselling tickets. I've gone to baseball games, $48 dollar seats, from scalpers, paid $22.

ok, whatever you call it, reselling tickets for a profit should be illegal. face value or less is fine.
