Where exactly do you find professionals for advice and support? internationally (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

Legitimately no clue where to look, I live in a very shitty country with nothing regional for me, so no options there, and everything online is exclusively US or UK only it seems, and even then most of them aren't free which I can't afford, and it's only for very specific fields and for specific countries only, nothing general or anything to refer me to the appropriate person or group for what I need.

Need advice on basically everything, am extremely lost in life and am stuck in a very tricky situation, no clue how to navigate all of that without professional help, it's a little too much. No friends or family to turn to so it's just me on my own, sorry if I'm supposed to know all of this already or something but I legitimately don't, please bear with me.

I have no connections so I tried resorting to AI for referrals as a last resort but it didn't do anything for me, still can't find where to go and who to talk to.

No clue if anyone here knows of anything but hey, it doesn't hurt to ask, anything's appreciated.

We have been in this exact situation before and very few people helped, even though we went to the 'professionals', and the system was/is still of very little help to us. Honestly you are better asking for the specific help you need here, either a step/post at a time or one big post, at least ioo.

Sorry for the late reply, appreciate the comment though.

See, the thing is, ask people for help and they'll usually say to seek a professional instead, and when I ask where exactly do I find these professionals they shrug and either go silent or tell me to just ask others, no clue what to do with any of that.

Regardless it should be a given to not rely on internet strangers for life issues - let alone very serious ones and multiple of them at that, that's never gonna go well, not everyone knows everything and they can't all be expected to fill in the roles of specialists and people with experience and keep up to date with all the bullshit of life and how to navigate it all, so I need professional help unfortunately, no getting around it for better or worse. So no, I'm not "better off" doing what you've suggested, trust me I've been there.

Also like, another obvious is privacy and confidentiality, not a good idea to go into detail on these things on a public internet forum.

Okay, well we hope that you can get the help you want then.

There are no international help we would recommend, especially since you mention privacy issues, sadly most 'help' there in our experience does not care about privacy, as there have been many leaks on internet based services for help. We honestly hope you can find local help, as it's best for this kind of thing, especially in terms of privacy.

I guess except for a very few situations, internet 'strangers' have been the only ones that have ever helped us in a way that is meaningful and actually helped. That is where we are coming from on this, we hope that explains our viewpoint. We are sorry that has not been the case for you though.

Without further details of what exactly you are looking for help with explicitly we cannot help as we would not know what to search for.
