What censorship are you talking about? You're literally making up an issue that doesn't exist because "mods are evil" in your little kid world.
Anywhere on the Internet has a degree of hate speech, threats, and harassment. The downvote system does an okay job of filtering these out, but mods are necessary.
I know I would be decimated if I had to comb through hateful posts and comments every day. It's not an enticing position, especially for no pay.
It's a shame that it's a fine line to walk between a healthy community and having maximum free speech. Give credit to the creators, they put in a lot of work and had a good vision. The Internet is just unruly and hard...
Who cares? It's dead, move on.
