First of all, sorry if this really isn't the right spot for this but I figured that maybe some Aussies in here recognise it.

I've had this stuffed frilled-neck lizard since roughly 2006 when a family member brought it back from Australia for me, I know for sure that my brother had a stuffed dinosaur with a similar design on it. According to the tag it was hand made in Australia by "Kurrajong Aboriginal Products". A quick search brought me to a company with the same name that sells child education books and hand made dolls, so the connection is kinda there but I can't be sure; they don't sell stuffed animals (anymore). I'd really like to know if anyone has seen these or even has one.

Here's some pictures I took of it.

When I was in Australia myself a while ago I searched for similar things but couldn't find anything. Even the museum shops I went to only seemed to sell generic Chinese-made stuff, which really is a shame but anyway...

Can we actually talk about that Technics M205? Now that is a collectible.

I haven't used it much since getting my "new" (1980s) harman/kardon HIFI stack together. I've actually tried to sell it for a good while now... do you want it?

I do. However, hifi gear is not in my world right now. I'm rocking some Yamaha gear at home, and a Harmon Kardon stack sounds awesome. Love my Yamaha. Warm sound. Nice tactile feel.

Anyway... I'm daydreaming audio gear. Back to work!

Yamaha is just one of those companies that does everything, and everything well...

Happy cake day btw.

Looks like something that might have sold in Australian geographic back in the day

Could be; looking at their webstore they definitely sell similar stuff but nothing Aboriginal as far as I can tell.

Actually, I used to have a Kookaburra hand puppet similar to one they're selling but mine was of better quality for sure.... Unfortunately that one was lost to time

Is it filled with sand? Reminds me of a sand filled one but they were usually more gecko shaped

No, it feels more like really dense synthetic stuffing.

Makes me think it wasn't really meant for children because it's not really that cuddly, although I don't know if it's always been this way.

I'm sure I've seen these before, but so far as I can tell they have been taken over by an educational company, as you said. Shame.

I'm saving this post though, if I spot any of these I'll shoot you a message, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Thanks! I already scoured eBay to see if I can find one or even something similar but nothing...

It would be so cool to see another one of them.
