Kinda specific also idk why it irks me but every time I read a post that goes like 'I read reviews this show/restaurant is good but I want to hear your opinion is it good?' because like have you not already read reviews? how many do you need to read for you to just do it yourself? How many yes or nos is the minimum? Just jump in there. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I get some reviews don't offer help at all but honestly it's not like there's a one size fit all I have plenty that I like but reading reviews apparently a lot didn't like it.. if I had listened then I would've missed out. It's part of the risk.

(I'm not talking about possible life changing reviews here like medical service just mundane stuff like tv shows etc)

Sometimes it's nice to discuss a common interest with other people. Reading reviews is one thing, but a discussion can lead to better experiences.

When it's people you know it's different. You've already calibrated your expectations for their taste and their recommendations. So if you have a conversation with somebody you know about a new place or a new thing, that gives you a lot more information than anonymous reviews online

And then there's just chatty people who want to talk online, they don't really care what they talk about as long as they can talk
