Sports lost my interest long ago. I used to get into a panthers hockey games before they became a winning team for under $10 a seat in upper deck. I could take the family for hockey night for less than a movie.

Then they made playoffs, and happy they won the cup..... But now every seat for every game is $50+... It's become unaffordable for more than 1 game every so often.

Forget about seeing the Dolphins play.... They suck but would still cost me $600+ to take family to 1 game.

It's become so expensive, live sports is a rich mans status symbol now.

I used to follow my local MLS team when it was free to watch. They lost me when my only option became an apple premium subscription.

Articles like these are scary. Now that mainstream news is speaking on these issues, it means there is a higher chance that the government/big tech corporations may step in to enforce stricter anti piracy measures which will also erode privacy and freedom

I went on sky to calculate how much it would actually cost me for all sports packages and it was something like £85 a month. Considering you can pay £60 a year and get all games (including 3pm kickoff) it’s a no brainier really.

Yea expensive! Here in Canada you need to have 3-4 subscriptions, which is crazy.

Does that include TNT Sports and Amazon as you need them for the maximum number of games. Thats about £39 a month via sky.

You still miss out at anything on 3pm Saturdays as that's not broadcast on purpose as part of the deal with the FA. Also some matches at other times aren't broadcast as well.

Contrast to Peacock in the US that's all matches including the 3pm matches that's $30 for the year.
