If not, this uptick in extremism could also be seeded maliciously as pretext for things like server raids and watchlists, or otherwise just to poison the well. We’ve already had our first lemming bomber in the news just last week.

It’s true violence may become necessary by the end, but random uncoordinated acts of violence performed in the name of a movement are as dangerous as a gun that fires before the trigger is pulled.
