Hello, I have a Pixel 8A GrapheneOs phone. I Want to make this a Safe phone. A privacy friendly phone. Basically I want to strip any/all tracking features of this phone, whilst making it hard against any adversaries to monitor me/track me, or watch my phone or its activities.

Not doing anything wrong, just want to know what are my best moves with this phone.

What VPN should I use on this phone?

The threat actor is mostly local feds, and doing what's necessary to stop them getting grips of surveillance.

Thank you.

considering the recent problems in USA, where being a foreigner is enough to have problems with the officials, the question is

Are you trying to avoid the surveillance of your communucations or do you need to hide your whereabouts also?

If you're worried about the feds, you'll want to turn on airplane mode and leave ot that way.

or just leave the phone at home

My Pixel 8A GrapheneOS Phone has an KYC Sim card in it (Always) is it still beneficial to leave my phone at home as much as possible?

For feds don't carry a phone, anything with a cell modem can be tracked easily.

You're connected to a cell tower/to a router.

Your ISP can see your address before connecting to the VPN.

Instead of a VPN just route everything true tor. And block anything that tries to get around it.
