Requesting c/yiff (pawb.social)
submitted 2 weeks ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

I'm requesting this because the only mod account for this community appears to be inactive. I'd like to continue sharing yiff to this community as I have done with others.

I don't know what RFC stands for, but the automod post says we can give community feedback on this request. The current mod of c/yiff is kinda gone, so it's definitely a good idea to give mod powers to someone else in case someone posts inappropriate stuff, harasses users, or similar. You're an active user, mod a few other NSFW communities, and I don't see anything in the mod log that's attributed to you, so it doesn't look like you'd be overworking yourself (this is a fairly quiet instance, so that's no surprise). Just promise not to turn rogue :3

Out of curiosity, how'd you handle DNP lists / requests? There was a post about that in one of the meta communities a while ago, but iirc it didn't spark much discussion.

There hasn't been anything to moderate since there's not really any spam. Engagement on NSFW subs is also very low so not a lot of comments.

A good amount of my posts are sources from E621 which maintains their own DNP lists. I don't currently plan on making a list myself. As long as this remains a quiet community I'll handle requests for DNP on a case by case basis. If it becomes a problem then I can re-evaluate or bring on more mods.

Before moving to Lemmy I moderated the communities with the same names on Reddit. I moderated r/zootopiaporn when it had about 100k subscribers.
