It's a tad surprising he's survived all this time. While I had him, i

  • Went through a term of active duty in the army
  • went through college
  • lived oversees for a few years
  • lived in 4 different states, and twice as many apartments and houses

He's one of the few possessions I've managed to keep ahold of despite a fairly nomadic life, but now he's pampered.

Anyway, with the recent cartoon about merch, I'm wondering what other people have. I never got a t-shirt, and it wouldn't have survived until today if I had.

I have a Bill The Cat. I picked him up a year or so ago after wanting one since forever.

In storage I also have an Opus plush, mine is smaller and has a graduation cap. I have had the Opus since a bit before my high school graduation in 95. He has survived two fires, lived in 4 states, who knows how many apartments, and houses.

When I was in middle school we did a clay project in art class. I did an Opus as Spock sculpture. The head (primarily the nose) was really heavy and the teacher dropped it while putting it into the kiln, so he has a dent on his helmet. Also due to the weight of the nose a crack started to form while it was drying. I am unsure if it actually still exists, it is likely the kind of thing my mother would have thrown away when I moved out.

Sliding chair. I went through a 70's phase and have a furnished room that wouldn't look out of place in A Clockwork Orange. The colors kind of make my eyes hurt, but I still like it.

Hello fellow Bloom County fans!

About this community and how I post the comic strip… The comics are posted in chronological order on the day (usually) they were released. Posting them to match the release date adds a bit of fun and nostalgia to match the experience of reading them in the newspaper for first time. Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. It really sucked when I missed a day. Only years later, when I got the books was I able to catch up on the missed strips.

Bloom County is an American comic strip by Berkeley Breathed which originally ran from December 8, 1980, until August 6, 1989. It examined events in politics and culture through the viewpoint of a fanciful small town in Middle America, where children often have adult personalities and vocabularies and where animals can talk. On July 12, 2015, Breathed started drawing Bloom County again. The first revived strip was published via Facebook on July 13, 2015... Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_County
