What is the deal with niri? I keep hearing about it, and it seems to have supplanted hyprland as the cool kid on the block.
I've been using hyprland pretty exclusively for the past 6 months or so, but niri could be interesting.
This is my first wayland compositor outside of qtile. I tried qtile wayland but always reverted to X instead of using wayland. Never liked hyprland because its too much, not a fan of sway because its not a dynamic tiler, river is a bit barebones. I got adjusted to Niri's workflow quickly and quite like it. Never need more than 2 workspaces because of infinite scroll
I've been using it and it's been a good experience. It runs smooth, has less flashy stuff (at least by default), and an easy to use config file.
Scrolling WM? We're gonna need a video of this

I was curious too, looks especially neat for touchpads.
using it on my laptop... its great
God dam that looks smooth
there are a few on youtube
