I've been using it for a while now and it's very cool. It's like an old school Tumblr. Mind you, the jank is almost part of their code lol, but every day it's expanding and improving, it's a very nice thing to see, a Tumblr by and for the community, as it always should have been.
Bluesky integration is optional, not mandatory, you can customize your profile and how the page looks with CSS and it has several cool default themes or other surprises. Give it a try if you want.

How the heck do you pronounce that name? It reads like one of those dodgy random Chinese brands on Amazon.
It stands for We Allow Female Representing Nipples. A reference to tumblr banning Female Representing Nipples.
I pronounce it Wah- Fern, as in, waluigi fern
The Dev says there's no correct way to pronounce it.
I pronounce it like Warframe, for example.

(Sorry. Not mocking you in particular, but Warframe? Not the most friendly sound names as names go, I think you'd have to agree).

Same as Mastodon I assume, since it's also about following users instead of communities
Since its on fedi, it does. It doesn't have any groups/communities, so you can't follow anything from there. You can comment on lemmy posts from it though.
