I second this. And if you want the pro features, StackSocial has lifetime plans available for $11. It's worked well for me.

Blokada 5 is nice without root.

Seems to be removed from store and Blokada 6 seems not well received?

It was never on the store because google doesn't want a proper adblocker on the store.

Blokada 6 is some Cloud BS, but you can still download 5 from their website.

Been using adguard (purchased). It creates a local VPN and routes all data (except ones you choose not to) through it. I got it for real cheap with 6 licenses. I have it on all my mobile devices and PC. Works well. I haven't seen an ad in any app, game, or internet for years. Except YouTube. There's a work-around but it's not transparent.
