I think it's cool in an somewhat unsettling way that your skull has a bunch holes (foramen) in it. iirc, you've got two under your cheekbones and two on the sides on your jaw/mandible. the blood vessels and nerves gotta get past your skull and into the main body cavity, or vice versa. instead of them going around your skull to get to your neck, they just go through it

similarly, the blood vessels that feed your eyeballs do not connect to the external back side, but instead come through a hole in the retina and then turn around to connect to the internal back side of the eyes. so you have a hole in the back of your eye, which means you have an actual, legitimate blind spot (no rods and cones where the hole is).

and I love this part: you can find this blind spot! have a card with a big black spot on it. cover one eye and hold the card 2ft from your face with the other hand. while looking past the card and using your peripheral vision to "focus" on the spot (don't move your eyes to track the card as it moves), move the card from the outside of your vision to the inside. somewhere around 25° off from center vision, while the card is moving out to in, the spot on the card should just vanish from your sight while the card is clearly visible (but blurry because peripheral vision). continuing to move the card inward, the spot will reappear.

I first think of Ren & Stimpy. Guess it depends on what generation you are.

Was expecting it to say the third hole is there for a future upgrade

Was going to share the same thing.

Had to look up the official terminology because I collect and use them as responses to my friends and family.
