Those look like fig leaves, but the pole doesn’t look like it came from a fig tree.

I think it’s a strangler fig, which grows from seeds that are left in the tops of other trees by birds.

I think it's just been made to look like a tree. A tree having been sawn down and debarked would definitely not survive being turned into a utility pole.

Notice it has two different types of branches on it. Looks like leaves and needles.
