Seems pretty typical, some parents discriminate against their children and some don't, many people are out and some aren't. In the US you can still be killed for being openly gay in many areas, don't really hear about that happening in China
A lot of what they're saying sounds similar to what I hear from LGBTQ+ folks in the US, but it also sounds like China is 1 or 2 steps behind in a few ways on the issue, which is about what I expected. But also as expected, these people seem to feel like China is trending in a more accepting direction, whereas obviously it feels like the US is going the other direction.
But I'm curious to know what y'all think.

Yeah I was going to post this. I expected the older generation of Chinese to be bigoted against lgbtq while the younger generations are more open and accepting. But like you said, it feels like, based on this video, China is progressing while the west is regressing.

Breadtube if it didn't suck.
Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.
A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.
