I normally don't go for two-tone cabinets, but you've brought this together really well--the vent area wood tying in with the countertops is great, and the colors all compliment each other well. I'm hoping to redo my kitchen soon, and if mine ends up half as nice as this, I'll be content. Great work, enjoy it!

Thanks! And good luck with your kitchen!

I love the counters and table. That wood is sick!

Thanks! The counters are one of my favorite parts.

That's crazy. This is exactly my kitchen except for the colors. I just did a remodel in order to sell and put in new everything. My color scheme is gray and white, but the layout is almost identical.

Great minds! Lol

Looks sharp! I particularly like those countertops. Is that a Samsung range? We just replaced ours with a very similar model, and it's been great so far.

Thanks! The counters are one of my favorite parts. Yeah, its a samsung range. We've only been using it for a week but it's pretty nice. Being able to air fry without the countertop device is great!

I love the two tone upper and down low color scheme. Counters, backsplash, and island block look great.

Can I ask what’s up with the 2x6 blocking above the range hood?

Thanks! I ran the vent straight up and through the roof. I didnt want to put cabinets up there with the 6 inch pipe going through them and i like the look of dedicated vent space above the range.

I think it's better this way, less congestion to poor would give it a longer lifespan in terms of maintenance as well.

Very nice. It’s taken me until this part of my life to really appreciate color schemes that go together like this and still have no idea how to make such things happen, so very impressive.

We took a long time to decide on colors, comparing swatches and planning it, but it worked out and we love it. I'm glad you like it too!

Is the fridge pushed back all the way in the additional photos? They should make shallower fridges

[-] [email protected] 3 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah, its pushed all the way in. They make shallower fridges, but you lose alot of space internally. When i was planning out the kitchen, it was clear that the fridge would stick out from the cabinets but we live that fridge. I could have made the cabinets deeper to cover more but i wanted to keep as much space for movement around the island as i could so i stuck with standard depth cabinets and a protruding fridge

I see. Whatever works for you is the best way

I’ve been in houses where the fridge blends with the cabinet so they do exist. My ex actually has a “counter depth” fridge and is able to make do but it is really tiny.

I suppose you’re less likely to lose things in the back since there is no back. I don’t have the organizational skills to make that work

Just saw this comment. Yep , you lose space with counter depth and there are even shallower ones that are super small. Most fully blended ones are a mix of counter depth fridge/ normal cabinets and regular fridge/ deep cabinets. I need all the fridge space and the walking space so the fridge poking out is what i get.

I just installed new uppers in my kitchen and I am super envious of the flatness of your ceiling!

[-] [email protected] 1 points 3 weeks ago

I was able to get it pretty flat, but its far from perfect. I custom built the upper extensions and cabinet doors to work with the shape and hide the unflatness as much as possible.

Niiice!

That blue is beautiful (even on IKEA ;-) and gas rocks!

[-] [email protected] 2 points 3 weeks ago

If you are implying that my cabinets/ doors look like ikea im flattered. Some of the base and upper cabinets are salvaged from an old apartment complex and i rebuilt them and all of the rest including the cabinet doors and entertainment center i built from scratch.
