Looking at the logs, it seems like they removed @[email protected]. This is actually pretty bad. [email protected] had 2 mods, one of them is hardly active and @[email protected], despite not being very diligent at his job, was at least active here.

I was already loosing my interest in the lemmy.ml community. I feel like I should now just leave it altogether.

People can try to become the new mod of this community. Or, there are other communities on other instances. I would personally recommend [email protected] for general topics or [email protected] for more lighthearted discussions. If you are on any piefed instance then ~[email protected]

Also not entirely clear why Mukt was removed.

That's awful. There was a brigade by a bunch of non-Indian .ml users saying some weird shit and downvoting us on it -- I think someone even called u/mukt a reactionary nationalist who had no place on .ml? Well I am no nationalist myself and understand why they don't want right-wing/liberal content on their instance (presuming that was the reason), it still seems a bit rude not to say anything at all tbh. Not to mention said brigading. It's a shame none of the other communities are very active, tbh.
