I use Niagara Launcher, the paid pro variant, it has lots of icon customization and you can put a widget on the home screen. It expends also a Mediaplayer if playback is detected. You can have a pinned list of applications and can swipe to see all of your non-hidden apps, also as a list.

I'm also a sucker for List Launcher, it's just so much cleaner than grids.

I love list launchers, but I just can't stop using Kvaesitso. It has a list mode for apps and one optional dock for your first x amount of favorites. But it really shines when it comes to widgets. Swipe up to go through a widget list.

I need to have my two coffee timers and one tea timer widget as well as my step counter and audiobook player, so I need something with widgets and Kvaesitso does it so well.

KISS launcher on minimal UI mode. FOSS and on fdroid.

i love YAM but it's too buggy on my phone unfortunately. i'm currently using Unlauncher. i've also been keeping an eye on folder launcher — it's probably my perfect launcher but it's not stable/polished enough for me yet (its development has just started)

I used to use μLauncher and KISS Launcher. The former is available on Accrescent, while the latter looks nice.

I've tried a bunch of list-based launchers but I've bounced off them all, even on my tablet where I use fewer apps. Still interested in other people's experiences, though. Maybe I'll try again.
