I set a goal earlier this year to learn* 750 Japanese Kanji, and I hit that this week. Not the fastest (I see advice that serious learners should be able to get through all the main 2200 in 3 or 4 months), but much better pace than I've gone at in the past. I've slowed back down in recent weeks, but it still feels good to hit that milestone. Now my goal is to finish learning* the commonly used Kanji this year.
- By learn, I just mean be add a flashcard for them, and be able to write them from memory. That's not even attempting to learn readings really, even after I'm over this main hump, there will still be so much to learn always.
