As soon as the Fossil mining and Fracking Companies learn to take “No” as an answer, the Astroturfing will stop, the mislead community groups who are being played will realise their mistake and we can progress forward with renewables.

Why are citizens so offended by high-tension powerlines and windfarms? Because they are being force fed disinformation by people with deep pockets.

I read an interview with one local some time ago about there area and they pointed out that most of push back was from those not being selected to host either turbines or solar parks and be payed a yearly royalty for it, similarly with transmission towers and a lack of cash flow to them, therefore they get the shits.

I still don't understand why we aren't building more solar closer to use. Eg hectares of industrial parks sans solar panels but bulldoze a bunch of trees to install one out in the bush ? Wind turbines of course are different, We already have so much solar and lagging legislation to soak it up through the day. Eg hot water tarrifs flipped over etc and way too little pumped hydro
